Harry Dresden’s faced some pretty terrifying foes during his career. Giant scorpions. Oversexed vampires. Psychotic werewolves. It comes with the territory when you’re the only professional wizard in the Chicago area phone book.

But in all Harry’s years of supernatural sleuthing, he’s never faced anything like this: the spirit world’s gone postal. All over Chicago, ghosts are causing trouble — and not just of the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety. These ghosts are tormented, violent, and deadly. Someone — or something — is purposely stirring them up to wreak unearthly havoc.

But why? And why do so many of the victims have ties to Harry? If Harry doesn’t figure it out soon, he could wind up a ghost himself….

Subterranean Press have slowly been working through the publishing of ‘The Dresden Files’ – this is their edition of the 3rd volume in the series and was published in 2010. Vincent Chong returns to provide the jacket and interior illustrations. As is normal for these editions there is no ISBN assigned to this volume.

Provided in two separate editions:

  • Limited – 500 hundred copies signed by the author to a special limitation page. As is normal for Subterranean Press there are also an unknown number of additional copies marked ‘PC’ (Presentation Copy). Fully bound in grey cloth with red titling to the spine, this originally retailed for $75

Gravel Peril - Front Gravel Peril - Signature

Grave Peril - Interior 2 Grave Peril - Interior 2

  • Lettered – 26 copies signed on a special limitation page by the author, bound in cloth and white leather and provided in a custom tray-case.

As with previous volumes in the series the book is long sold out at the publisher (with the lettered edition sold out before publication!). The limited edition is pretty uncommon with only a few copies available online at any one time and commands a price in excess of £200. Unsurprisingly the lettered edition is even rarer and if you can find a copy then a realistic price would be £500 and up.
